Christian Brown

Elevation Law combines the quality of a large, national firm with the accessibility and value of a boutique practice. Advances in technology and efficiency allowed the firm’s founder, Christian N. Brown, to relocate from San Francisco to his hometown of Tahoe City, where he regularly handles local matters in addition to representing clients in state and federal courts throughout California. Chris practiced at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in San Francisco for over a decade before founding Elevation Law. While at Orrick, he represented Fortune 500 companies, executives, and other individuals in commercial litigation, employment, and real estate matters, with a particular emphasis on class actions, as well as workplace and government investigations. He now provides Elevation Law’s clients with the benefit of that experience, without the high rates typically charged by larger firms.

Michael K. Brown

Attorney

Effective May 1, 2026, Michael K. Brown joins his brother, Christian N. Brown, at Elevation Law to help open the firm's Bay Area office in Danville. Mike's principal focus is advising business clients and negotiating and documenting business and real estate transactions. Before joining Elevation Law, Mike spent the last 15 years as a senior partner of Brown Gee & Wenger LLP, which he co-founded in 2011.

Mike represents clients in diverse industries on business transactions and corporate law, with extensive experience in commercial real estate, land development, homebuilding, hospitality, retail, and construction. He is an elected Member of the American Law Institute and serves as an Adviser to ALI's project to update the Restatement of Property. Mike has been recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer for twenty-two consecutive years since the distinction was first awarded in 2004.

Sasha M. Gray

Sasha M. Gray brings over 10 years of transactional real estate and business law experience to Elevation Law. Along with her colleague Mike Brown, Sasha helped establish Elevation Law's Bay Area business practice in 2026. Her practice focuses on California business and real estate transactions, financing transactions, corporate and business entity formation, business contracts, and joint ventures. She prides herself on being a deal maker for her clients.

Sasha joined Elevation Law after spending the first ten years of her legal career at Brown, Gee & Wenger LLP in Walnut Creek. She is a member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association —active in its Real Estate and Women's Sections — and serves on the Programs and Governance Committees of CREW East Bay. Sasha has been recognized as a Super Lawyer Rising Star in Northern California, a distinction given to the top 5% of attorneys based on peer surveys.
